COVID-19 Pandemic Response
Dear Friends of CommonWealth,
We are in the storm right now. We are all feeling the very apparent weight of this ever-changing scene playing out, hour by hour. How do we weather this storm? How do we interpret our responsibilities? To whom do we direct our support? And the answers are as numerous as the continuing surfacing of the next round of questions.
And so we must be as transparent as possible as we move forward.
CommonWealth, like so many businesses, is one built on the support of a phenomenal staff and highly-valued patron. Without those two entities, we are meaningless. We are a team of almost 70 people - many with years of incredible experience, many with an absorbing appetite to learn and succeed. We laugh, we yell, we discuss, we work hard. Together. And the reality is, when our staff goes home at night, they have their families and responsibilities. And this is the crossroads at which we find ourselves today; your safety and our staff's livelihood.
To that end, we want to reiterate to you all our continued commitment to match and exceed the astringent guidelines that our city's officials have outlined to all businesses - particularly those in the food service industry - as we tackle the ramifications of the COVID-19 virus.
To those of you who have continued to show us your support, words are inadequate to express our gratitude. We are still busy in the kitchen, we are still welcoming customers, and we are fully equipped to keep CommonWealth a safe space for you all.
Call in to order your pick-up meal.
If you are purchasing any item on behalf of a Senior Citizen (friend, family or neighbor) or their care-taker, tell us. We have a 15% discount for you.
If you're wanting to extend the hand of help, let us know how we can connect you with folks in need. We can take your details - people talk to us.
Buy a gift-card. Someone out there is in need of a good meal. Your gesture says so much more than you know.
When you come in, don't feel unsure of your environment. CommonWealth is still that safe and friendly space. If you want to stay a while, stay a while. Talk. Laugh. Or just simply be.
And to those who wish to stay home right now. Stay home. Respect the feelings that rise and subside during this strange time. And if you need someone to talk to, you know what, call us. And when you're ready, come back to see us.
Stay well. Stay strong.
